About SetLedger

Professional DJ analytics built for working DJs who want to understand what they actually play.

What SetLedger Is

SetLedger is a web-based DJ analytics platform that transforms raw session history into actionable performance insights. It reads exported CSV files from Serato DJ software, automatically detects individual sessions, and generates detailed analytics about track selection, pacing, rotation patterns, and venue performance.

Unlike general music analytics tools, SetLedger is purpose-built for the workflow of performing DJs. It understands the structure of a DJ set -- the progression from opener to peak to closing, the deliberate BPM journey, and the decisions made in real time about which tracks to play and when.

Who SetLedger Is For

SetLedger serves working DJs across all formats and environments. Resident DJs use it to track which songs consistently work at their venue and to avoid repeating sets for regular audiences. Mobile DJs use it to compare performance across different venues and event types, understanding which selections resonate at weddings versus corporate events versus club nights.

Music curators and open-format DJs use SetLedger to monitor their track rotation -- identifying songs that are rising in their sets, tracks that have peaked and begun declining, and forgotten gems that deserve a second look. The platform helps DJs make informed decisions about crate refreshes and set preparation.

Whether performing weekly residencies or occasional private events, any DJ who uses Serato and wants to reflect on their performance data will find value in SetLedger's analytics.

What SetLedger Does

At its core, SetLedger provides session-level and track-level analytics derived from Serato history exports. For each session, it calculates metrics including total tracks played, set duration, tracks per hour, average track duration, and BPM range. It visualizes the BPM journey of a set as a timeline, showing how energy flowed throughout the performance.

Across sessions, SetLedger identifies patterns that are invisible when looking at individual sets in isolation. It tracks how often each song appears in sets over time, categorizing tracks as "In Rotation," "Rising," "Declining," "Retired," or "Forgotten." It surfaces the most-played tracks with trend data, shows genre and key distributions, and provides venue-specific analytics showing which songs perform best at which locations.

The platform also includes practical tools like duplicate upload detection, bulk session importing, customizable column views, event type categorization, and event series tracking for recurring gigs.

How SetLedger Is Different

Most DJ software focuses on the moment of performance -- beatmatching, effects, library management. SetLedger focuses on what happens after the set ends: reflection, pattern recognition, and informed preparation for the next performance. It occupies a space between DJ software and a personal analytics dashboard.

SetLedger does not require any integrations, API connections, or streaming service accounts. It works entirely from the CSV history files that Serato already generates. All data remains private to each user, secured with row-level security policies that ensure no user can access another's session data under any circumstances.

The Company

SetLedger is a product of The Syndrical Project Inc., based in Canada. The platform was built by DJs, for DJs, with a focus on data privacy, clean design, and genuine utility for working performers.
